His first working experience started in Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, Nigeria where he was trained as a Programs Producer, during his Industrial Training. Afterwards he had his one year Industrial Training as an Assistant Public Relations Officer in the Public Relations Department of The Nigerian Railway Corporation, Dugbe Ibadan Oyo State Nigeria. Afterwards he started a teaching carrier in various schools in Lagos from Primary School to Secondary School teaching English Language and Literature in English at all levels (Junior Secondary School 1-3 to Senior Secondary School 1-3). During his teaching carrier he was promoted to the position of a School Principal at Densam Educational Services, Iju Ishaga, and Lagos for two years.
As the school Principal, Popoola Sunday developed an efficient Management System for the school as he started and developed the Students Press Club Society and proposed a School Magazine for the school. Later in 2010 to 2013, he was employed as a Part Time Lecturer at Olabisi Onabanjo University, ( Study Center) Ogun State where he taught Social Science Courses ranging from Integrated Marketing Communication, Ethics in Marketing, Introduction to Public Administration, etc to English Communication .As a Lecturer he has successfully written various materials for these courses yet to be published. He also spent a year (2012 to 2013) at Gateway Polytechnic (Study Center) Agbado, Ijaiye , Ogun State teaching courses like Use of Library, Communication in English I & II, Technical English etc.
In between his teaching carrier, he served as a Business Manager at Romson Nigeria Limited, Ojodu Berger, Lagos State, heading three units Cyber Café, Computer School and a Business Center in 2012 to 2013.
He was also an assistant Cell Leader and a Cell Leader for one year at Daystar Christian Center, Oregun Lagos State for 3 and half years before relocating to South Africa where he is currently serving as a Drama Minister in Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Zonal Headquarters, Pretoria, South Africa.
His vision remains in his passion which is “to give creative and productive service for the achievement of core organizational goals”. He loves to write as he has successfully written over 60 poems unpublished, as his passion runs in his Journalistic skills of Investigative and Interpretative Reporting.
Popoola, Sunday, holds a Higher National Diploma in Mass Communication from The Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Ogba Lagos State and a National Diploma in Mass Communication from The Polytechnic Ibadan, Adeseun Ogundoyin Campus, Eruwa Oyo State, specializing in Journalism which is a skill embedded in his talent of Writing and Research. Popoola, Sunday has a One year Training (100 level to 400 level) as a Christian Minister in Daystar Christian Center, Oregun, Lagos State. Also he has a Certificate in Christian Drama and Film Production from The Peace Makers Drama Ministry School of Adedeji Adekusibe, Lagos State.
Born at Country Hospital, Agege Lagos Nigeria he is The Son of Pastor Michael Ololade Popoola of The Apostolic Church, Atlanta Georgia USA. He hails from Modakeke, Ife North Local Government, Osun State. As his other origin, comes from Ijesa- isu, Ekiti State Nigeria.
Popoola, Sunday is a people person, passionate about the transformation of Nigeria and Africa as a whole. He loves to teach, talk, read and write as his favourite author is John C. Maxwell, a leadership expert.
